Right to freedom of speech is inviolable – Russian president

MOSCOW. Feb 14 (Interfax) – The right to freedom of speech is inviolable, and no one holds a monopoly on the right to speak on behalf of Russia’s society, President Vladimir Putin said.

“Citizens’ constitutional right to freedom of speech is inviolable and unshakeable. However, no one has a right to sow hatred and rock society and the country, thus jeopardizing the life, wellbeing and peace of millions of our citizens,” Putin said at an expanded session of the Federal Security Service board.
