NOVO-OGARYOVO. Nov 21 (Interfax) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said he urged the government and experts to determine practical steps to ensure stable economic growth of the country.

“The work on development tasks should be regular and systemic. Deep expert elaboration of our strategic guides, proposals on practice steps able to ensure stable development of the country and competiveness of certain sectors in the future are needed,” Putin said when opening the Presidential Economic Council presidium meeting in Novo-Ogaryovo on Thursday.

The Economic Council presidium comprises officials and high-level experts, “at that, sometimes with different and probably even opposite views on resolving different issues but, as a matter of fact, this is the sense of any expert council – to listen to opinions of different people and find the golden mean,” the president said.

During the Thursday meeting it is necessary to concentrate on “priorities of our economic policy in 2014-2015 taking into account tendencies and challenges of global and domestic economic development,” Putin said. “It is necessary to determine which factors should be engaged so that the economy reaches a stable growth trajectory,” Putin said.
