LUHANSK. July 4 (Interfax) – Snipers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have opened fire on a road leading to the Izvarne border crossing point on the Ukrainian-Russian border, militiamen of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) have said.

“Ukrainian snipers are targeting the drivers of cars heading to the Izvarne checkpoint located on the Ukrainian-Russian border,” a local militia spokesman told Interfax on Friday.

“They are shooting at everything, including cars carrying children and women. We are doing everything we can to warn people passing by. But since the flow of vehicles is too large, we cannot warn all people, and some of them may come under fire. So far, no one has been killed or injured,” the spokesman said.
