MOSCOW. May 28 (Interfax) – Russia will decide on whether or not to congratulate Petro Poroshenko on winning the presidency in elections in Ukraine only after the final results of the voting are officially announced, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said.

“When the final results are officially specified, then a decision will be made,” Ushakov said at a news conference in Moscow when asked whether President Vladimir Putin plans to congratulate Poroshenko.

Ushakov said he was not in a position to say whether anyone would represent Russia at Poroshenko’s inauguration ceremony, noting that no information was available yet as to who was invited to the ceremony.

Information available following the tabulation of 99.03% of electronic voting reports published on the Ukrainian Central Elections Commission website on Wednesday indicates that Poroshenko, an unaffiliated parliamentarian, was supported by 54.7% of the voters (9,838,430 people), Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko by 12.82%, Radical Party leader Oleh Lyashko by 8.33%, Civic Position party leader Anatoly Hrytsenko by 5.48%, and Serhiy Tihipko by 5.23%.

Oleh Tyahnybok, the leader of the Svoboda association and its parliamentary faction, garnered 1.16% and Right Sector party leader Dmytro Yarosh 0.7% of the vote
