MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said that no one is imprisoning anyone for their political views in Russia, but no one allowed to take actions that break the law.

“No one is grabbing anyone and no one is imprisoning anyone for ideas, for political views, and we will never allow that. We will never go back to that horrible past when Sinyavsky and Pasternak were persecuted,” Putin said at a literary meeting.

However, Putin reiterated that “no one can violate the law with actions.” “That’s what I am talking about,” he said.
