Territorial battalions uncontrolled by Kyiv breaking truce in Donbas – Pushilin

DONETSK. Jan 15 (Interfax) – Self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) negotiator, Denis Pushilin, has blamed territorial battalions uncontrolled by Kyiv for the increased number of shelling incidents in Donbas, after a ceasefire deal was signed at the latest Minsk meeting.

“The reason is that provocations are being staged by territorial battalions which are not fully controlled by Kyiv. There are sectors where only Ukrainian Armed Forces units are stationed, and the truce is honored there. We have insisted on the rotation, as the battalions do not seem to care about what happens in Minsk. They understand that they will have nothing to do when the war ends,” Pushilin told reporters on Friday in his comments on the latest ceasefire deal made in Minsk.
