(Interfax – MOSCOW, July 10, 2013) Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has called on Russian business to more closely work with the government in conditions of a complex economic situation in the country and changes in the world model for economic growth.

“For the state and for business it is important not to waste time and to act in conjunction, to seek some kind of appropriate responses to the problems that exist in our economy and in the world economy,” Medvedev said during a meeting with members of the management bureau of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE).

“A new model of economic growth is forming right in front of our eyes, a qualitatively new technological mode is being created. Competition is sharpening,” the prime minister said.

Medvedev requested that representatives of major Russian businesses say how it is for them working in new conditions – Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organization and the formation of a Common Economic Space.

He also inquired about the RUIE’s views on the government’s efforts to improve the country’s investment climate, streamline the law and law enforcement practice, and work up ‘roadmaps’ for entrepreneurs.
