(Interfax – YEKATERINBURG, July 11, 2013) Russia’s system for providing state support in the context of the WTO, which the nation joined last year, will fall into place in the next few months, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said.

“In general, it seems to me this system will line up in a few months, and both domestic and foreign producers will be satisfied,” Dvorkovich said at the Innoprom exhibition in Yekaterinburg on Thursday at a meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

WTO membership presents a challenge for a host of Russian industrial sectors and making the adjustment has proven to be difficult, Dvorkovich said.

“We are replacing one set of support methods with another,” he said.

Combining support measures for producers with those for consumers is a good idea, since it will enable all producers to find their niche in the framework of this support.
