MOSCOW. Aug 27 (Interfax) – More than half of Russians view Russia’s foreign policy as successful, and about one in five respondents see Moscow’s line on Syria as the main success of this foreign policy, the Public Opinion Foundation found after polling 1,500 respondents aged 18 years and older.

As many as 52% of Russians are sure that Moscow’s foreign political course is successful in general, while 23% hold the opposite view.

In the view of 19% of the respondents, Russia’s stance on Syria is its main foreign political success. Respondents also mentioned improvement of relations with foreign countries among successes of Russia’s foreign policy.

As many as 56% of the respondents take interest in Russia’s foreign policy.

The poll was conducted in 104 communities of 53 regions of Russia on August 19, 2018.
