MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) – The administration of the park Sokolniki has approved a request made by the movement Civil Solidarity to authorize a public event on the territory intended for a ‘hyde park’ on July 18.

The topic of the event is “Rally against Pension Age Increase,” the culture establishment said on its official portal. The rally will have up to 1,000 participants.

The rally is expected to be held in the period between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., the portal said.

The site for the organization of public events in the park Sokolniki is located on the territory of the Green Park and can take up to 1,500 people. Authorized rallies held there cannot end later than 10:00 p.m. and begin before 7:00 a.m.

A request to authorize a march and a rally organized by trade unions and some parliamentary and non-parliamentary parties and public organizations in Moscow on July 18 was filed with the Moscow authorities on July 3, the press service for the Confederation of Labor of Russia (KTR) said.

The organizers of the event are Boris Kravchenko (Confederation of Labor of Russia), Ilya Sviridov (A Just Russia), Vladimir Rodin (CPRF), Sergei Mitrokhin (Yabloko), Alexander Batov (Rot Front), and georgy Fyodorov (Civil Solidarity), the KTR said,
