KYIV. April 7 (Interfax) – The Ukrainian parliament on Tuesday will debate the issue of increasing liability for separatism and banning parties that engage in separatist activities, Oleksandr Turchynov, acting president of Ukraine and speaker of the Ukrainian parliament, said.

“One of the first issues to be debated by the parliament tomorrow is the law increasing criminal liability for separatism and other crimes against the state. Under the Ukrainian legislation, we will raise the question of banning political parties and public organizations that engage in separatist activities and work against their own state,” Turchynov said in a televised address broadcasted in Kyiv on Monday.
