MOSCOW. Sept 10 (Interfax) – Russia knows about the agreements reached by Ukraine and some NATO countries on direct supplies of weapons to Kyiv and suggests thinking about the consequences of the implementation of such decisions.

“We believe that all questions on this matter, including relating to the responsibility for the consequences of such a step to peace in Ukraine, should be addressed to those from whom this information is coming,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Meshkov told Interfax on Wednesday.

“We know that the media have reported statements, which cite the Ukrainian administration, on the agreements on direct supply of modern weapons by some NATO members to Ukraine reached at the NATO summit in Wales on September 4-5,” he said.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has recently said Ukraine has reached agreements with some NATO countries on direct supply of weapons.

“We have reached agreements with some NATO countries on direct supply of modern weapons, which will help us defend ourselves and win,” Poroshenko said while meeting with Ukrainian troops in Mariupol.
