The Russian animated film “We Can’t Live Without Cosmos” has been shortlisted for an Academy Award.

The film by Russian director Konstantin Bronzit was named a nominee on Thursday in the Best Animated Short Film category.

The film tells the story of two friends and their paths to achieving their childhood dream of going into space.

Bronzit was earlier nominated for an Academy Award with “Lavatory-Lovestory” in 2008.

This time, his film will have to compete for the prestigious prize with “Bear Story,” “Sanjay’s Super Team,” “World of Tomorrow,” and “Prologue.”

The 88th annual Academy Awards are set to be held on Feb. 28.
