Over 300 journalists killed in Russia in last 20 years
Moscow, 10 November: Over 300 journalists have been killed in Russia in the last 20 years, chairman of the Union of Russian Journalists Vsevolod Bogdanov has said.
"Since 1991, more than 300 journalists have been killed and in most cases we do not know who killed them and on whose orders," Bogdanov said at a news conference today.

According to Brod, criminals who attack journalists feel their impunity because these crimes often remain unresolved.
"Impunity leads to more impunity and more crimes. The life and profession of a journalist has lost their value. This is absolutely unacceptable," Brod said.
He believes that it is necessary to make a list of all journalists who have been attacked in the past 15 to 20 years and get information from the prosecutor-general and head of the Investigations Committee on each of the cases and publish it.
