Poroshenko wins with 54.7% of vote – Turchynov

KYIV. May 29 (Interfax) – The Ukrainian Central Elections Commission (CEC) has processed 100% of electronic reports from territorial electoral commissions in the presidential election and found out that Petro Poroshenko has won the race with 54.7% of the vote, interim Ukrainian President Oleksandr Turchynov said.

“After 100% of the electronic reports have been processed, Petro Oleksiyovych Poroshenko has won with 54.7%,” Turchynov announced at a parliamentary meeting on Thursday.

Information coming from the CEC indicates that Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko garnered 12.81% of the vote, Radical Party leader Oleh Lyashko 8.32%, Civic Position party leader Anatoly Hrytsenko 5.48%, and Serhiy Tihipko 5.23%.

Former Kharkiv regional administration head Mykhailo Dobkin, who represented the Party of Regions, was supported by 3.03% of the voters, All-Ukrainian Jewish Congress President Vadym Rabinovych by 2.25%, Maidan activist and prominent doctor Olha Bohomolets by 1.91%, Communist Party leader and parliamentarian Petro Symonenko, who had withdrew from the race, by 1.51%, Svoboda leader and parliamentarian Oleh Tyahnybok by 1.16%, and Right Sector leader Dmytro Yarosh by 0.7%.

Businessman Andriy Hrynenko garnered 0.4% of the vote, former parliamentarian Valery Konovalyuk 0.38%, former Deputy Prime Minister Yury Boiko 0.19%, former Foreign Intelligence Service chief Mykola Malomuzh 0.13%, former First Deputy Prosecutor General Renat Kuzmin 0.1%, Ukrainian People’s Rukh leader Vasyl Kuibida 0.06%, Ukrainian People’s Party leader Oleksandr Klymenko and former Anti-Monopoly Committee chief Vasyl Tsushko 0.05% each, businessman Volodymyr Saranov 0.03%, and Maidan activist Zoryan Shkyryak 0.02%.
