The Washington Post‘s Michael Birnbaum has posted on facebook about a new opportunity in Moscow with the Washington Post:

“… The Washington Post is looking for a highly motivated, resourceful and fast-thinking early-career journalist to fill a position in Moscow as a researcher and reporting assistant. … research, administrative work, and independent reporting and writing. … a passion for news, an obsession with digital media, the ability to think creatively about ways to explain Russia and the former Soviet Union to the wider world, a willingness to learn on the job and consider alternatives to problem-solving.

Requirements include: Knowledge of Russian equivalent to that of an educated native speaker; fluent spoken English; proficiency in English reading and writing; ability to work flexible hours; proficiency in social media platforms and digital journalism.

Some translation may be necessary, but this is not an interpreting job. … some travel outside Moscow. Previous experience working for English-language foreign news outlets is a plus, but not a requirement; as is knowledge of other languages of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus or Central Asia.
