MOSCOW. July 6 (Interfax) – The issue of Vladimir Putin’s nomination as a candidate for the 2018 presidential elections is currently not on the Kremlin agenda, presidential press officer Dmitry Peskov said.

“This issue is not on the Kremlin agenda. It just doesn’t exist yet,” Peskov told reporters on Thursday, responding to a question as to whether Putin will run for president in the 2018 elections as a self-nominee and whether he has received an offer to run from the United Russia party.

Responding to a question as to whether Putin’s nomination from United Russia in the previous presidential election justified itself, Peskov said: “I can say that the indicators were very high. It’s just something that can be stated.”
