ATHENS. Oct 30 (Interfax) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov believes most of the key world political leaders were aware of being tapped by U.S. special services.

“I even feel somewhat bored to comment on this. In fact, I am sure that everyone knew everything or at least had such suspicions. And all this fuss is being made now just because what was said publicly is not what is usually said openly,” Lavrov said at a press conference in Athens when asked how the Russian leadership took the news that dozens of world leaders had been tapped by U.S. special services.

“I’ll tell you frankly: my attitude toward this is philosophical, although I do understand all slyness of the phrase ‘We didn’t do anything that others didn’t do,” Lavrov said in commenting on remarks by U.S. officials on the matter.
