Interfax: Basurin reports over 800 attacks in DPR territory, injury of three civilians in past 24 hours

DONETSK. June 29 (Interfax) – The self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) saw 830 attacks of the Ukrainian army in the past 24 hours; three civilians were injured, Eduard Basurin, a senior official of the DPR Defense Ministry, told the press.

“The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic remains critical. The number of shelling incidents grew over the past day. The Ukrainian army shelled the republic’s territory 830 times. The engagement of artillery has been growing day after day,” Basurin said.

In his words, the hostiles fired 30 152mm artillery shells and 75 122mm shells on DPR territory.

The Ukrainian army fired “330 120mm mines, 150 82mm mines and 120 grenade launcher shots” and used infantry combat vehicles and small arms in those attacks, Basurin said.

Ukrainian troops fired on the populated localities of Ozeryanivka, Zaitseve, Spartak, Staromykhailivka, Dokuchayevsk, Zaichenko, Kominternove, Leninske, Sakhanka, the Donetsk Petrovskyi district and Donetsk airport, he said.

“The shelling incidents inflicted medium-serious injuries on three civilians and damaged 11 buildings in Dokuchayevsk and the Donetsk Petrovskyi district,” Basurin said.

“We shared all information about violations of the Minsk agreements with representatives of the OSCE and the JCCC,” he said.

DPR intelligence continues to observe the amassment of forbidden weapons and troops of the enemy along the contact line, he said.

“Two tanks have been traced near the populated locality of Berdianske; three 122mm D-30 howitzers, two tanks and three infantry combat vehicles, in addition to seven trucks carrying troops and munitions, have arrived in Chermalyk,” the DPR officer said.
